Greetings Outcomes Team--the team leaders had a great conference call with the staff from Hope Street Project and we have a good idea of how to proceed. I am thinking about ways to organize this so we remain true to the assigned tasks but are sensative to your time contraints. With school starting in a week or two, I know many are very busy, but I also know that busy people are usually the ones to get things taken care of.
As you have seen in the opening page for the Outcomes Team section, there are key questions that the Hope Street Staff have identifed that need investigation and research. I would like to assign one question to each member of our team and you would then investigate the question and answers and then post your information to our site. . Is this acceptable to all? I will also develop a series of "projects" with timellines, etc. These are really just tasks that need to be accomplished in order to reach our submission deadline of September 14th.
As I have started researching our assigned area, I have noticed how close we are to other areas of investigation such as the Measurement Team. I think if we openly share our findings with other groups, we can minimize any confusiion that might arise over definitions. That's where our specific questions will come in handy.
I would enjoy briefly visiting on the phone with each one of you to answer any questions you might have and get your input as to our suggested process. Please send me via private email your phone number so we can chat and get to know each other. I am still a bit of the "old school" and like to hear the voice on the other end as we make this journey together. There is a private email option within this site. Lets try and have our converstions all done by no later than this Tuesday. Will that work for you all? My phone is posted on my bio section if you would prefer to call me. Either way, lets chat.
I will take a stab at outlining a process via the "project" option. This will also include due dates and responsible persons. Also, I will add to the team calendar any important dates that we need to be aware of. Hopefully, this will keep us on track leading up to the September 14th deadline (not really very far down the road).
Finally, I am adding several resources for your review. Hopefully they will make your research easier. I will place them on the front of our section instead of an attachment to this communication. In addition, Hope Steet staff have included many valuable resources for your review and consideration.
Look forward to chating with each one of you and always feel free to let me know if we need to make any modifications to any part of this process. I can get it started but need you to help me validate our steps.
Best to all,
Doug
