Darcy has worked in elementary education since 1996.   She is an educational consultant with experience as a primary teacher, instructional coach, staff development trainer and faculty associate instructor with Arizona State University.   She designs and implements professional development programs for science and mathematics at the district, state and regional levels.

Current research and focus is on developing leadership capacity within systems to sustain quality math and science instruction.  She is involved with the  design, development and facilitation of an ongoing training of a statewide cohort of facilitators focused on providing professional development at the school and district levels for teachers and administrators in Arizona.  She is also actively involved in a Professional Learning Community and cohort at Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley, studying issues related to the continuous improvement of professional development in science for the Western region.

Darcy holds a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a BA in Elementary Education from Arizona State University.
