Executive Director

Monique joined the Hope Street Group and the Board in early 2007. As Executive Director, she leads the organization to cultivate economic opportunity and prosperity for all Americans.

Monique has been as an investment banker for more than fourteen years. Most recently, she was a consultant, advising the CEO of Dresdner Kleinwort Americas on strategy, policy and organizational issues, as well as a sitting member of the North American Management Committee. Prior to this, she was the youngest Managing Director globally at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, pioneering more than $4 billion of public-private finance initiatives for the UK Government and advising the full spectrum of public and private institutions on high profiled strategic risk management transactions.

Monique's political work has centered on developing moderate, results-driven economic policies, which provides a solid foundation in leading Hope Street Group into the future. She has worked with presidential candidates who embrace Hope Street Group ideas and advised other high profile leaders including Governor Mark Warner (D-VA). She remains active in her community as a Board member of the Virginia Public Building Authority.

Monique has a Masters in Public Administration from the JFK School of Government at Harvard University, and she completed her undergraduate studies at the School of International Service, American University in Washington, D.C., and L'Université Paris-Sorbonne, as well as studying at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain.
